George Cederberg (1910-1972) will best be remembered for his interest and influence in local Rochester history. Always a history enthusiast, he was instrumental in preserving the Rochester General Hospital's Archives, which bear his name. Professionally, he was an expert in financial affairs, and it was primarily in this capacity that he acted as Associate Director during his eighteen years of service from 1954 to 1972. Cederberg had his office at the Westside Division until its closing in 1966, and was therefore the Senior Administrator there during the last years. An expert on the subject of coin and stamp collecting, Cederberg was also a very impressive croquet player, in which capacity he was a formidable opponent. (courtesy Paul Weld, M.D.)
