Residents of Geneva, NY, and the surrounding areas now have more access to health care from Rochester Regional Health. The Geneva Medical Campus opened this month with a range of services for patients of all ages and health backgrounds. The new campus is located at 875 Pre-Emption Road.
“We’re strongly focusing on giving access to health services to people outside of Rochester, so they have the same level of care and the same services of those living closer to Rochester and in Monroe County,” said Dustin Riccio, MD, President of Rochester Regional Health’s Eastern Region.
For patients who require bloodwork, the new Rochester Regional Health Laboratory is located less than half a mile from the new Geneva medical campus.
Range of services
The Geneva Medical Campus is home to a range of services, including Orthopedics, Orthopedic Urgent Care, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT), and open MRI.
“Our facility’s open MRI is the only true open MRI in the region,” said Dr. Riccio.
An open MRI machine is much larger than a traditional MRI machine, making it easier and more comfortable for patients of all sizes. While offering the same high-quality scan, an open MRI minimizes anxiety and claustrophobia.
In addition to the variety of subspecialty services, the new facility offers primary care services.
“Providing people with local primary care is vital to giving patients the best care possible. When patients have this service available, they can work with a professional to navigate their health regularly,” Dr. Riccio said.
“Patients need primary care doctors to quarterback care for them. We like to have those providers in rural areas and make sure people and families are using them.”
The Geneva Medical Campus is expanding and will continue to add services throughout the year, such as:
- Allergy & Rheumatology
- Endocrinology, Diabetes & Nutrition Counseling
- Gastroenterology
- Neurosurgery
