What is Pelvic Health?

Pelvic health addresses how your bladder, bowel and female reproductive organs function, as well as the musculoskeletal components the support these structures. We partner with you to improve house these organs work, reducing symptoms and getting you back to your everyday life.

Comprehensive Pelvic Health Care

Often, women live with conditions that affect their pelvic health either because they believe they’re normal after having a baby or with aging, are embarrassed or aren’t sure where to seek treatment. The Pelvic Health Center at Rochester Regional Health makes things easy – we work together to assess your concerns, bring the right treatment team together and come up with a plan that works for you.

  • Pelvic floor physical therapy and care for musculoskeletal dysfunction

Treating Pelvic Floor Disorders

Pelvic Floor Muscle Dysfunction and Pelvic Floor Disorders typically refer to the inability to coordinate your pelvic floor muscles, often leading to pain, difficulty having bowel movements, constipation, urinary and/or fecal incontinence or painful intercourse.

Common causes of Pelvic Floor Disorders include: 

  • Abnormalities or injuries to the pelvic floor, abdomen, back or hips
