Rochester, NY - Rochester Regional Health (RRH) is pleased to announce Dr. LeKeyah Wilson as new Vice President of Community Engagement and Social Impact. This newly created role seeks to develop community partnerships and programs with local organizations, state agencies, healthcare providers, schools, and area businesses to address health disparities and advance community health initiatives in the region.
An experienced community pediatrician and Adolescent Medicine Specialist with over 11 years of service, Dr. Wilson brings a deep commitment to improving health equity in the region. Her extensive leadership experience includes having served as CEO of Regional Health Services as well as Medical Director for youth detention centers and school-based health programs. Dr. Wilson has consistently championed initiatives that enhance access to care and support underserved populations. She is known for her tireless dedication to creating meaningful change and empowering healthier communities.
Dr. Wilson will take on a dual role, dividing her time between the leadership position while continuing her clinical responsibilities as a valued pediatrician. This unique approach ensures she remains closely connected to patient needs while steering system-wide strategies to develop new community partnerships aimed at reducing health disparities.
Dr. Wilson’s new role will focus on the social determinates of health to advance preventative care, improve access to health resources and reduce systemic barriers with an emphasis on maternal and infant health outcomes.

Born and raised in Rochester, Dr. Wilson is a graduate of Howard University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science. She holds a medical degree from the University of Rochester, where she also completed her pediatric residency and fellowship in Adolescent Medicine.
Dr. Wilson’s collaborative approach will align with key state and federal health initiatives, like the New York State Prevention Agenda and the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). Through innovative partnerships and impactful programs, Rochester Regional Health aims to bridge gaps in care and create opportunities for all individuals to achieve better health outcomes, regardless of their circumstances.
