ROCHESTER, NY – Rochester Regional Health is proud to announce that Rochester General Hospital has once again been designated as a Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation.

The designation marks the fifth time RGH has received this prestigious recognition, marking 15 years of excellence since its first designation in 2012. The Surgical Review Corporation’s COEMIG designation identifies surgeons and facilities worldwide performing minimally invasive gynecological procedures and achieving defined standards for patient safety and care quality.

In addition to RGH’s re-designation, we are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the providers who have received individual certifications by the Surgical Review Corporation. Mohamad Mahmoud, MD, FACOG, Director, COEMIG, and Muhammad Siddique Qureshi, MD, FACOG, have been named Master Surgeons. Michelle Chin, MD, Director, Minimally Invasive Surgery at Unity Hospital, has been named a Surgeon of Excellence.

“We are thrilled for Dr. Mahmoud, Dr. Qureshi, and Dr. Chin, along with our entire team for their dedication, skill, and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care,” said Elizabeth Bostock, MD, Executive Medical Director of OBGYN and Women’s Health with Rochester Regional Health. “Their hard work and expertise make these achievements possible. We are grateful for all they do.”
