At Rochester General Hospital's brand new Twig Birthing Center, we are proud to have a team of highly-skilled, caring physicians, midwives, and nurses to partner with you throughout your delivery. During your stay, our staff will care for you around the clock and are available to answer your questions 24-hours-a-day - even after you go home.

With our state-of-the-art obstetrical services, Newborn Care Team, and Level II Special Care Nursery (NICU), you can deliver with confidence, knowing that you and your baby are in safe hands. Our Neonatologists and Pediatricians work side-by-side with our obstetric and nursing staff to ensure round-the-clock coverage for both you and your new baby. 

Services we are pleased to provide:

• All-private, spacious triage, birthing, and postpartum recovery suites.
• Convenient in-room amenities, including a shower or combinations bathtub/shower, TV, free phone service, free wi-fi, and a fully-reclining chair or sofa bedwhere your support person can spend the night. Our postpartum recovery units also include an in-room hairdryer.
• 24-hour anesthesia coverage with the latest pain relief options, including Nitrous Oxide. 
• Secure, locked unit design to ensure the security and safety of you and your baby.
• 1:1 nursing patient care for active labors.
• Wireless fetal monitoring, so mothers can move around during labor.
• Meals delivered throughout the day, in addition to an in-unit patient kitchen and fridge for those who would like to bring food from home.
• A special Stork Dinner for you and your support person to enjoy on your last night in the hospital.
• 24-hour breastfeeding assistance provided by our caring lactation trained staff.
• Safe sleep gift bag with information on safe sleep practices and a HALO SleepSack Swaddle for your newborn.
