Charlene J. Wilson, EdD, MPA, CCP is a highly accomplished Human Resources (HR) executive with an exceptional 30-year track record of achieving transformative results in the health care industry. Through her strategic and operational leadership, she has consistently delivered measurable improvements in employee recruitment, retention, and engagement, reduced reliance on contract labor, increased productivity, fostered diversity and inclusion, and effectively managed organizational change.
In 2023, Dr. Wilson assumed the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at Rochester Regional Health (RRH), where she leads and collaborates with leaders and teams on various initiatives, including HR transformation, operational efficiency, and workforce strategy. As the CHRO of RRH, her primary focus is aligning the HR function with the organization's strategic framework and goals. She provides strategic direction to all facets of HR, including employee commitment and work-life innovation, and spearheads the ongoing transformation of HR into a high-value, strategic partner for the organization. Prior to joining RRH, Dr. Wilson served as the Chief People Officer for ECU Health in Greenville, North Carolina.
Dr. Wilson's educational background includes a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Public Administration from Villanova University, and a BA in Political Science from Hampton University. Her commitment to professional growth is evident through her active participation in various esteemed organizations, including the Society for Human Resources, the American Society of Training and Development, and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration.
