Rochester Regional Health is pleased to be leading the way with our Device Remote Monitoring Services - state-of-the-art care for heart rhythm patients through remote monitoring of cardiac devices, including:
We have a team of nurses, advanced practice providers, and physicians dedicated to reviewing remotely monitored information such as device function, battery status, lead alerts and overall device performance to provide customized care. A key feature of this service is the ability to detect and treat heart rhythm problems that may otherwise have gone undetected. Remote device monitoring from home (or travel) is the way of the future and the ease and convenience are undeniable.
For heart failure patients, remote monitoring has additional benefits. Overt and obvious changes in status such as weight change and shortness of breath often occur too late to prevent decompensation and hospitalization. The advantages of remote monitoring are that subtle, silent changes can be identified early on, allowing changes in treatment often before the patient has symptoms. This can greatly reduce the need for hospitalizations for heart failure. All of this monitoring is done remotely by the Device Remote Monitoring Clinic; making it seamless and effortless on the part of the patient.
