What is inpatient rehabilitation?
Inpatient rehabilitation is a program to help people suffering from severe and persistent substance use disorder. Our rehab centers provide short-term intensive therapy for patients who need a highly structured, supportive environment.
All practices and groups are run with a person-centered approach. Your addiction is unique to you – mentally, physically, and socially. Instead of a rigid one-size-fits-all framework, the treatment and recovery plan we develop together will cater to your specific needs.
Offered 7 days a week, Rochester Regional Health has inpatient treatment available at several locations – all of which are certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Support (OASAS).
Services we provide
Our chemical dependency inpatient units offer a robust variety of services throughout your stay. Each service we provide is designed to work in conjunction with your individualized needs, and stabilize any acute substance use disorder symptoms.
Individual and group therapy are available through inpatient rehabilitation. Using evidence-based therapeutic models such cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed care, our experienced therapists are uniquely prepared to work with you to move toward addiction recovery.
Recreational therapy activities can also be a new creative way to try out the recovery skills you learn during your time with us. We offer many different activities that complement the work you are doing to rehabilitate yourself during inpatient treatment.
Other services include:
- Substance use disorder group participation
- Collaborative goal planning & discharge planning
- Education & resource management
- Skill development groups
- Medication management and oversight
- Therapeutic recreational activities
- Creating action plans for step down housing and treatment options upon discharge
I think this program is incredible, it has change my life for the better. I learned how to live a sober life and learned a lot of life skills that I had passed up due to addiction. The [Clifton Springs] staff was beyond helpful and caring and they helped me every step of the way, day and night.
A Safe Therapeutic Environment
Change happens here.
We strive to instill hope in the people who entrust us with their care by removing barriers to recovery, reducing stigma, and providing an environment where positive change can happen. We work hard, every day, to improve and restore the lives of those who struggle with chemical dependency.
Diversity, inclusivity, and health equity are values we hold that create a therapeutic environment. Diversity and inclusion directly impact patient health outcomes, the patient experience and quality of life. You will find diverse staff that help patients from underrepresented backgrounds to feel more comfortable during their treatment stay. With a person centered and trauma informed approach, we look forward to learning about you and your individual recovery journey.
We maintain up to date policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff.
Your admission is dependent on your individual clinical and medical needs. Being admitted to inpatient rehab requires staying until treatment is complete. Individuals admitted to inpatient rehab facilities receive comprehensive care from a multidisciplinary treatment team. Your medical and clinical team will routinely meet with you to discuss and review these needs. We will work directly with your insurance company to support adequate coverage of your admission as you progress in your care.
The typical stay for inpatient chemical dependency averages between 14 days to 28 days.
Discharge planning begins upon admission with referral to services in the patient’s preferred county.
To all at Unity Inpatient Care Facility, I want to give extreme praise to all the counselors, nurses, doctors and security for all of their professionalism and as well as caring guidance through the process here at Unity. Thank You to all.
