Mothers and their babies deserve a homelike experience that’s safe for them both. And we want to give our skilled team of obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatricians and nurse-midwives the most modern care environment that allows them to deliver highly specialized care as easily as routine care. It’s for these reasons that we are creating 20 private post-partum suites and 14 private rooms in the adjacent Rochester General Hospital Association Twig Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
At the Lipson Cancer Institute, we've always provided our patients with the best cancer care from the region's top experts. And while we've always led the way on using the latest technologies, our new Peter and Caroline Pluta Family Oncology Unit in the Sands-Constellation Center for Critical Care gives us even more tools to provide exceptional care in a way that is most comfortable for our patients.
We’re putting patients at the center of our universe with the addition of 108 private, acuity-adaptable rooms. These rooms allow for progressive and critical care in the same setting, resulting in better patient outcomes, greater efficiency, and a more comfortable and safer experience. Furthermore, every room on these floors will be private, and when the center is complete, so will every room in our hospital. This is what the best possible care looks like.
A gift to the Sands-Constellation Center for Critical Care is a gift in support of preparedness. It is a gift that recognizes another pandemic will come. And whether that pandemic comes next month, next year or in the next generation, the Center for Critical Care will be uniquely ready to serve our friends and neighbors.
Brainlab technology creates and enhances data to improve critical surgeries, radiosurgery treatments, and operating room efficiency. The new 3D imaging system allows our surgeons to be even more precise and provide better outcomes for patients. Rochester Regional Health is the only system in Upstate New York to offer Brainlab technology.
Many of the unsung heroes in our hospital system reside in our sterile processing and materials management department. Innovative technology will allow our team to meet the evolving needs of physicians and surgical team.
