About the Center for Pain Management
The Rochester General Center for Pain Management, established in 1994, provides a wide array of treatments and services to help patients suffering from many different conditions that cause chronic pain. The center uses a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to help patients gain control over their pain and improve the quality of their lives.
Many patients suffer from chronic pain, whether it’s caused by a back injury, cancer, or countless other conditions. In fact, unrelenting pain is second only to the common cold as a cause for a visit to the doctor. Chronic pain can seriously affect the quality of life for patients and their families.
Today, however, many effective treatments are available to fight the physical and psychological effects of chronic pain. These require a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to treatment.
