As you begin the search for a new pediatrician, options abound. And while many offer 24-hour nurse triage lines and same-day sick visits, not all have the backing of a major health care system.
Not only do Rochester Regional Health Pediatrics offices have convenient locations spread throughout the Rochester, Finger Lakes, and Western New York regions, but we also offer a medical home full of expert, experienced providers focused solely on infants, toddlers, children and young adults.
Before you choose where you’d like to take your child as they grow, learn, and change, it’s important to see and meet providers. Pediatrics, like many medical services, are not one size fits all. You’ll have the chance to find a pediatrician that makes you and your growing family feel cherished and cared for, as well as one who is close to home.
Our friendly providers offer gentle, encouraging bedside manners that will help as your child grows and experiences normal bodily changes. It would be our honor to guide you and your family through this exciting time.
Children are on a rigorous schedule of visits during their first several years. While we love seeing your child grow and change–these visits also allow us to take a closer look at development, growth, and deliver important vaccines. In the first year of your child’s life, we’ll also ask you questions about how you’re doing with parenthood to ensure that everyone in your family is adjusting and doing well.
Our pediatric offices follow the schedule suggested by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the CDC.
We are proud to offer expert, comprehensive care for children and families of all ages. But it also helps to know some of our practice policies and philosophies to ensure that we align well with your life.
We follow the vaccine policy and schedule outlined by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control. Our providers will talk through any and all questions and concerns you may have about vaccines and can help with vaccine schedules, if necessary. Vaccines are safe, healthy, and the best way to protect your child, your family, and your community.
It is our pleasure to offer extended hours whenever we can. We know that many parents and guardians throughout our community work and have busy schedules, and we do our best to accommodate. Our locations offer same-day sick visits in addition to our regularly scheduled well-care visits.
We do ask that you call your pediatric location to schedule an appointment for a sick visit, please.
We know that sickness, scares, and questions do not only occur during office hours–parenting is a full-time job! With that in mind, we have a nurse triage line and on-call physicians available 24/7. If you have an urgent issue that cannot wait until we return to the office, you will receive timely advice from the provider on-call.
