About The Provider
During Christy's senior year of nursing school, she spent four months in Zambia as a study-abroad program, where she witnessed and participated in birth for the first time. Christy knew immediately that she wanted to pursue midwifery. Following graduation, she returned home to Montana and worked as an RN in labor, delivery, and postpartum while completing her midwifery degree. She then had the privilege of completing her midwifery clinical hours at a hospital on the Navajo Nation in Arizona. It was here that Christy saw and learned a deep trust in the natural cycle of a woman's life, the normalcy of birth, and a powerful model of women supported by midwives. She believes that women are the foundation of healthy families and healthy communities, and she is passionate about partnering with each woman to accomplish their wellness goals in pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
