About The Provider
Originally from Illinois, I worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in Chicago while earning my Bachelor’s degree in Biology. I then went on to specialize in Nurse-Midwifery and earned my Masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner before becoming the co-director of the Shade Tree Early Pregnancy Program in Nashville, where I worked to provide initial prenatal visits for uninsured or underinsured women throughout Middle Tennessee. During pregnancy and birth, I believe in empowering and educating women to be advocates for their health, as well as the health of their families and communities. As a midwife, my philosophy of care is true to the definition of midwifery: to be with women. I feel it is a true honor to participate in and partner with women to provide excellent care across their lifespan.
