Dr. Rizzi focuses on treating each patient as an individual, and understands that you are more than just your presenting problem. His diverse experience allows him to connect with many different people on a personal level, and he believes these relationships are important for the best possible outcomes. Dr. Rizzi spends considerable time educating his patients on their medical conditions and management, and will exhaust all non-surgical options prior to recommending surgery. If surgery is necessary, he will do everything in his power to ensure that his patients are well-informed and comfortable with their planned procedure and recovery. Dr. Rizzi practices evidence-based medicine and will provide you with the most up-to-date care.
Dr. Rizzi's subspecialty training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery included a specific focus on rhinoplasty and the technical skills required for excellent functional and cosmetic results.
Dr. Rizzi grew up in a small town outside of Des Moines, IA, and moved to attend Penn State University. He went to medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA before completing his five-year residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. He continued his training at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, where he completed a one-year subspecialty fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and worked on staff as a Clinical Instructor. He practiced for two years outside of Dayton, OH as both a general ENT and Facial Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Rizzi joined Rochester Regional Otolaryngology in September 2021.
