A cancer diagnosis is not merely an event; it signals the beginning of a journey that can be frightening, painful, and life-changing. Women diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer can often feel lost and alone. Addressing their needs is Dr. Geevarghese's vocation: it's her honor to walk alongside patients, not just for that moment but throughout their journey, helping them and their families understand what's happening and which interventions offer promise. Her focus, always, is on preserving dignity of life, tailoring treatments to patients' personal goals to achieve the highest possible quality of life throughout their journey. In addition, she strives to make cancer care seamless so that patients and their families experience a holistic approach from clinical planning to emotional support. For that reason, she is her patients' lead advocate, not just in their medical treatment, but also in obtaining psychological, sexual, nutrition, and financial counseling.
