Our Services

An eye exam not only tests for visual impairment, but also for other underlying health issues. Even if you don't think you need glasses or corrective lenses, many asymptomatic conditions exist that can be identified early with an eye exam. A complete eye exam involves a series of tests designed to evaluate your vision and check for eye diseases. A variety of instruments may be used, but each test during an eye exam evaluates a different aspect of your vision and eye health

An eye exam helps detect eye problems at their earliest stage–when they're most treatable. Regular eye exams give your provider a chance to help you correct or adapt to vision changes as well as provide you with tips on caring for your eyes. In addition to routine exams, we also offer:

  • Diabetes exams
  • Cataract exams
  • Glaucoma exams
  • Macular Degeneration exams
  • Dry Eye exams
  • Fuchs' Dystrophy exams

Whatever your eye exam needs, our team can and will provide.

Not all Lenses are the Same

We provide glasses and frames for all ages, including infants and toddlers. Lens types include:

  • Progressive lenses
  • Computer lenses
  • Prescription sunglasses
  • Prescription sport glasses
  • Prescription swim goggles
  • Eyewear accessories

We are also proud to offer a 1-year warranty on all regular-priced eyewear, as well as multiple pair discounts.

Contact Lenses

We are proud to offer a full range of contact lens services, including fitting, evaluation and supply of lenses. Our goal is to provide an effective, healthy, and comfortable alternative to glasses.

If you are new to contacts, you will need a separate appointment for the fitting following your comprehensive eye exam (see below). Existing contact patients with health or vision issues may also need a refitting appointment.

There are many types of contacts, including daily disposable, frequent replacement, toric (astigmatism), and multifocal lenses. Other more specialized lenses include rigid gas permeable and prosthetic lenses. Cosmetic tinted lenses may also be available in your prescription. Your doctor will help determine the right contact lens for you. Please feel free to call us with any questions.

Opticians

With over 80 years of combined experience, our New York State Licensed and American Board of Opticianry Certified Opticians are highly trained and employed by our practicing Physicians.

Today’s lifestyles can lend to some difficult challenges when it comes to selecting eyewear. Our Opticians stay abreast of the latest advancements in lens technology and will carefully select the perfect personalized eyewear solution to meet your needs.

Try Before You Buy

Browse and try on our entire catalog of trendy frames from the comfort of your home. To start the virtual try-on process, please:

  1. Make sure your camera is clean
  2. Ensure you have good lighting. A light behind or above you that lights up your face will make it easier for the program to find your bridge.
  3. Remove your current glasses so the program can identify your features

Our board-certified and specially trained providers are proud to offer a full array of eye procedures, including cataract, LASIK, Blepharoplasty, and corneal transplants.

Cataract Surgery

Cataracts can’t be reversed by medication or lifestyle changes, but the timing of surgery is different for everybody. We will plan with you and discuss reasons to either go ahead with cataract surgery, or why it might be better to wait. Because your eyes and vision needs are unique, your cataract surgery should be tailored to suit you.

To achieve the best possible outcome our surgeons utilize the most advanced technologies to measure your eye. Before surgery, your eye will be measured to determine the proper power of the intraocular lens that will be placed in your eye. We can determine which IOL is right for you and explain the applicable risks such as the potential for increased glare or the need for glasses.

LASIK Surgery

Also known as laser eye surgery, LASIK is designed to correct multiple levels of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, while also reducing your reliance on corrective eyewear. It is a surgical procedure that uses laser energy to reshape your cornea according to the prescription of your eye.

We offer the best advances in LASIK technology providing you with the highest levels of safety and the best chance for crisp clear vision. Our refractive surgeon, Dr. Sara Ferri, completed a fellowship in cornea and laser refractive surgery at the world-renowned Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland where she trained under the top leaders and cornea experts in laser vision correction. She is a board-certified ophthalmologist and has performed more than one thousand procedures.

Blepharoplasty

Of the various reconstructive and cosmetic procedures our surgeons perform, blepharoplasty is the most common. Our goal is to help you recover the health and functioning of your eyelids, while simultaneously restoring the eyes appearance. Ultimately we want you to look like you! Our cosmetic goals are to rejuvenate rather than make drastic changes in appearance.

We utilize the latest tools and technology, including “bladeless” CO2 laser to reshape the eyelids. The advantage of CO2 laser is to cauterize tissue instantaneously with minimal bleeding.

Corneal Transplant Surgery

A corneal transplant replaces a scarred or diseased cornea with a healthy corneal tissue from an organ donor. There are two main types of corneal transplant surgeries, traditional full thickness cornea transplant, also known as penetrating keratoplasty (PKP) and back layer corneal transplant, also known as endothelial keratoplasty.
