The team of warm and professional birthing experts at the Birthplace are focused on welcoming your new addition into the best environment to promote lasting health and loving bonding.
The Birthplace offers many options for prenatal care and delivery, including:
- Midwifery
- Postpartum care
- Education
- Combination labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum room (LDRPs)
We provide a wide array of pain relief options, from support for natural childbirth with Jacuzzi tubs, showers, and birthing balls to pain medications and epidurals as needed. "Rooming In" is available for moms, dads, and babies, and our experienced and compassionate staff are eager to assist you in creating the memorable birth you desire.
The Birthplace participates in the New York State Breastfeeding Quality Improvement in Hospitals program. A certified lactation specialist conducts workshops at Canton-Potsdam Hospital and is here to help you achieve your feeding goals.
