Dr. Whitbeck grew up in a household in which his father was a Baptist minister. There was always a strong emphasis placed on helping and healing one's fellow man. In his father's case, his choice was to attempt to heal the heart. Dr. Whitbeck chose a parallel, but not less important path...to attempt to heal the body. Medicine was his calling and became his passion.
For him, every patient encounter represents an opportunity to heal, and to engage in his favorite activity - the practice of medicine. He has been in practice for over 25 years, and despite the changes within the field of medicine that tend to depersonalize the physician/patient experience, Dr. Whitbeck remains an enthusiastic "Happy Warrior" who looks forward to a decade and a half more of practice.
Dr. Whitbeck enjoys weightlifting, running, cycling, shooting (rifle/pistol), boating, gardening, and reading.
