Dr. Nana Duffy practices medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and performs laser and surgical procedures. She is interested in complementary and alternative medicine and incorporates this into her practice. She is particularly interested in the link between stress and the skin. Although she enjoys treating all skin types as a dermatology doctor, she is the only black dermatologist in all of Rochester and has a passion for helping African American patients care for their hair and skin concerns.
Dr. Duffy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware Honors Program, her medical degree and master’s of science in clinical epidemiology (M.S.C.E) from the University of Pennsylvania, and she completed a residency in dermatology at the University of Rochester. Dr. Duffy is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Skin of Color Society and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She is board certified in dermatology. She has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on complementary and alternative medicine in dermatology and sits on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Duffy is taking new patients of all ages.
