Beth O. Toly-Hughes is from Upstate New York and has lived in Rochester since graduating from RIT. Prior to becoming a midwife, she was actually a project manager in the photography industry until she experienced some personal struggles with fertility and had a life-changing delivery with a fantastic labor nurse. Following that experience, Beth decided to return to school to become a labor and delivery nurse myself. She attended Monroe Community College and worked as a patient care tech in the Special Care Nursery at Rochester General Hospital (RGH). After graduation, Beth ultimately made her way to Greece and Unity Hospital. After working in labor & delivery for many years, she realized she could have a positive impact on patients by supporting them throughout pregnancy and not just at delivery, so she made the decision to go back to school and become a midwife. She graduated from Philadelphia University in 2014 and has been happily caring for patients in the Unity OB/GYN office in Brockport since. Her focus is to give her patients information, support, and the tools they need to be healthier and happier. Beth loves being a midwife.
