Our Surgical Oncology Center is backed by all the resources of Rochester Regional Health and collaborates with specialists in medical oncology, hematology, and radiation oncology at the Lipson Cancer Institute. We use leading-edge technology to diagnose and treat patients with cancers of the liver and bile ducts, upper and lower gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, colon, rectum), pancreas and spleen, and visceral retroperitoneal and extremity sarcoma and melanoma.
Our physicians use preoperative chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments before surgery. Should your treatment require surgery, we will use minimally invasive procedures, such as robotic-assisted surgery, whenever possible to reduce your discomfort, lower your risk, and shorten your recovery time.
