Dr. Corteville's mission is to practice excellent clinical cardiology while exceeding his patients’ expectations regarding bedside manner and providing compassionate care.Dr. Corteville strives to apply the latest research on procedures, medications, diet, and exercise to help prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases. His clinical expertise includes echocardiography, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure, structural heart disease imaging, and cardiac CT.
Dr. Corteville completed medical school at the University Michigan, Ann Arbor. His residency was in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. After working for as a hospitalist at Kaiser Permanente San Rafael, he completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Michigan. Prior to joining Rochester Regional Health,Dr. Corteville was the Director of Cardiovascular Imaging at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey Michigan for nine years.
Dr. Corteville has been involved in all aspects of industry and NIH sponsored clinical research and was the local primary investigator on numerous Phase IIb clinical trials. Dr. Corteville hopes that his continued involvement in clinical research allows his patients to be exposed to innovative care.
Dr. Corteville enjoys cooking, traveling, playing guitar, reading, practicing Hapkido, rock climbing, and spending time with family in my free time.
